just a few words before I go

So I spent the wee hours of this morning downloading and listening to music. ITunes and Emusic are my friends. Especially, Emusic. If you are a jazz fan, a classic jazz fan, may I suggest Emusic. They are worth the $10/month investment.

First, let me thank Steve in Atlanta for offering up some nice suggestions. He suggested I give Little Jimmy Scott and the older Rosemary Clooney a listen, which I did. And I have added a few things from both. “When Did You Leave Heaven” by Scott is truly a gem. I am also adding some Christ Connor tunes as well as a truckload of Billy Eckstine tunes and Bobby McFerrin’s “Round Midnight”. If you haven’t seen the movie “Round Midnight”, add it to your Netflix queue. You won’t regret it. I am adding the tune “Candy” by Big Maybelle. You may recall Claire Huxtable lip syncing the song back in the golden age of Cosbydom. Hard to believe that show came on over 20 years ago.

I am also dropping in some tunes from Lena Horne, Dean Martin, Kay Starr, Benjamin Koppel, Lucky Thompson.

Suggestions and recommendations help me out a lot. I knew of Jimmy Scott but never made a real effort to get any of his stuff. It’s always nice to get opinions from outside ears. We open doors for one another.

Keep Listening!

bother me so much? I’m so glad Dr. Shepherd dumped her permanently and stayed with his wife. At the same time, everything Meredith said to him tonight was true. He had no right to judge her. Still, I don’t care for her. Why is that? She must remind me of someone from my past that I didn’t care for. I dunno.

Saw Mission Impossible 3 today. Really good action film. Pure summer time, bubble gum, bombs and explosion type stuff. But it does it well.
