To me she is not an up and coming, she is there; others have just not discovered her yet. From what I can tell she did not try to emulate anyone else. That said her voice is experienced and not still trying to find it's spot in the sun. By her CD, I promise you won't be sorry! I play it regularly, she has a sound that is all her own.
