just a few words before I go

I haven’t added any new files in a while, so I thought I would spend a good part of my Sunday finding some new records to play for the upcoming weeks. I added quite a few new things, and I must say that Gene Krupa’s version of “Stardust” knocks me out the most. Great tune.

You can read the entire article here

On Tuesday, Fox News morning show “Fox & Friends” aired at least eight segments on a purported “news” story that was actually a parody article written by a publication similar to The Onion.

So, I watched the Democratic debate last night and I have to admit that before yesterday, I had no idea who Mike Gravel guy was. But that will no longer be an issue for me. Out of all the candidates, this former senator from Alaska was the most entertaining to say the least. I mean, come on, we all know, as does he, that he doesn’t have snowball’s chance in hell to win the nomination. So, this allows him to be brash and abrupt and unabashedly candid. He was like the old uncle you have at Thanksgiving dinner. Old uncle Mike is bordering on senility and everybody knows it, so when he says something that would otherwise be considered completely inappropriate coming out of the mouths of the “sane”, the rest of the family just chuckles and shakes their heads. Old uncle Mike would be the only one at the dinner table who could out the gay cousin and not be admonished for it. He says what everyone else is thinking, but decorum (and fear) prevents them from saying so.

I read the following in a recent edition of Esquire magazine

Single men in monogamous relationships have a lot more sex than married men (4.5 times versus 2.7 times per week, or 66% more)

Hmm. I wonder if when my male friends ask me when I am getting married, if they are really asking, “When are you going to allow yourself to be castrated?”

I kid. Kinda.

The article also says

The more money men make, the more sex they have, but the men who have the most sex — more than 15 times a week — make less than $100,000 a year.

Next job interview:

Interviewer: And how much were you looking for salary-wise?

Me: Well…I won’t take a penny over ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred ninety-nine dollars and ninety-nine cents.
