just a few words before I go

So, I watched the Democratic debate last night and I have to admit that before yesterday, I had no idea who Mike Gravel guy was. But that will no longer be an issue for me. Out of all the candidates, this former senator from Alaska was the most entertaining to say the least. I mean, come on, we all know, as does he, that he doesn’t have snowball’s chance in hell to win the nomination. So, this allows him to be brash and abrupt and unabashedly candid. He was like the old uncle you have at Thanksgiving dinner. Old uncle Mike is bordering on senility and everybody knows it, so when he says something that would otherwise be considered completely inappropriate coming out of the mouths of the “sane”, the rest of the family just chuckles and shakes their heads. Old uncle Mike would be the only one at the dinner table who could out the gay cousin and not be admonished for it. He says what everyone else is thinking, but decorum (and fear) prevents them from saying so.
